Even though we were crunching numbers to work out when this milestone would fall, last Tuesday night in Division 1, Adam Baker played his 200th Senior Club game when he started a mid-week twilight game versus Golden Grove in the outfield.
Still only 26 years old with a long career ahead, “Bakes” seems much older having been a part of the club furniture since a baby due to parents, Michelle and Steve’s long association at Goodwood.
A player with many baseball tools, Bakes has tried his hand in the infield, catching, pitching and outfield from as high as Division 1 to as low as Division 6. Already this season Adam has played in multiple positions through multiple teams which shows his love of the game and club.
A true club man Bakes helps out around the club whenever needed and could be seen playing a game in the morning and in the canteen in the afternoon.
Congratulations Adam on reaching this milestone – thank you for the broad contribution you have given the club and we look forward to much more over coming seasons.
With his start in Div 1 last Tuesday Adam has played:
4 Div 1 Games
85 Div 2 Games
60 Div 3 Games
43 Div 4 Games
8 Div 6 Games
